Louisiana National Guard rescues 7, <a href=diagnosis 600 after severe floods” width=”703″ height=”403″ />

BATON ROUGE -The Louisiana National Guard began providing shelter support for the Baton Rouge River Center Sunday night.

According to a statement Monday, generic the national guard has 3,300 guardsmen assisting with emergency flood operations, evacuations, search and rescue, engineering missions, food distribution and security.

As of Monday afternoon, the Louisiana National Guard rescued 7,600 citizens and 1,200 pets. The guard says it has issued nearly 17,000 MRE’s, 213,690 bottles of water, 260 tarps and 714,000 sandbags.
