– A Navy veteran received keys to a mortgage-free home in Bethlehem, dosage Georgia, as part of Operation Homefront’s 500th Home Award Celebration.

Former U.S. Navy Petty Officer Second Class Andrew Friedlander, his wife, Bryanne, and their three children welcome visitors to their newly renovated mortgage-free home in Bethlehem, Georgia, that Operation Homefront and Chase presented Friday.

Fifty years after being shot down during the Vietnam War US pilot’s remains have finally been returned home to the town of Rangeley in the United States.

Lieutenant (junior grade) Neil Brooks Taylor was 25 years old when he was shot down over Vietnam and was on his 68th operation over the country.

He was buried this week at the Evergreen Cemetery in his home town where hundreds gathered to honor and commemorate the pilot.

The 94-year-old Marine Corps veteran began her life in America as an immigrant. When Tillie first entered kindergarten, view she couldn’t speak a word of English.

So after years of hard work and diligent studying, viagra she finally passed high school and decided to attend University to study education! Pretty impressive for a woman who started off her schooling unable to even communicate with her teachers!

But when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, viagra her whole world changed in an instant. All the men signed up to fight, and all the women eventually got factory jobs to help the war effort in any way they could.

So when Tillie graduated college, she was interested in doing a bit more than help in the war effort; she wanted to join the war effort. She looked into the Army, Navy, and Coast Guard, but it was the Marine Corps who intrigued her the most. She knew she wanted to help them in any capacity.

After passing through boot camp she eventually became a radio operator and helped decipher radio codes used to help out our troops bravely fighting in the Pacific. After the war, she received an honorable discharge and became a mother, grandmother, and teacher.

Howard Hayes stepped from the gangplank onto the deck of the Coast Guard cutter Taney. The last time he was aboard the ship was more than 70 years ago.

Hayes, 96, is the last known surviving veteran of the cutter’s crew from the attack on Pearl Harbor. He usually served as a cook, but when the alarm sounded on the morning of Dec. 7, 1941, Hayes was thrust into combat. His battle station was high above the decks manning a range finder to target incoming Japanese planes.

“You run, I’m telling you,” Hayes said. “You look at your feet and say, ‘What are you waiting for?'”

Now tied at Pier 5 in the Inner Harbor as one of the Historic Ships in Baltimore, the Taney engaged the attacking Japanese planes, and Hayes remembered being able to practically wave at the enemy pilots as they passed overhead.
